Andrea Jung, former CEO of Avon and considered one of the most powerful women in business, has moved on – to microfinance.

Jung is now in the top position at Grameen America, a group that provides small loans to poor women entrepreneurs in the U.S. According to Grameen’s website, Jung will be helping to scale the organization to solve economic issues – and in turn helping women and their families across the country.

Jung led Avon from 1999 through April 2012, before stepping down from her role as chairman in December of that year. One year later, she remained an advisor to Avon while taking on a new role in the automotive industry – serving on the board at Germany’s Daimler AG (DAI), the world’s third-largest maker of luxury cars, specifically, Mercedes-Benz. Jung also holds seats on the boards at Apple and General Electric.

Sherri McCoy is Avon’s new CEO.
